Description:
We are currently looking to hire a competent and detail-focused Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate should be available to join immediately and possess solid experience in handling accounting operations within the UAE.
The selected candidate will oversee daily financial transactions, ensure compliance with UAE regulations, and support month-end closing activities while maintaining accurate financial records.
Job Overview:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a UAE-based organization.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure timely reconciliations.
- Provide VAT-related documentation and compliance support.
- Assist with monthly financial closing and reporting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily accounting transactions, including sales, expenses, supplier invoices, receipts, journals, and petty cash entries.
- Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including ageing analysis, reconciliations, collections, and payment processing.
- Perform bank, cash, and POS reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation control and ensure adherence to internal compliance standards.
- Conduct intercompany reconciliations and provide assistance during month-end closing.
- Support VAT documentation preparation and reconciliation processes in line with UAE regulations.
- Prepare audit schedules and working files to facilitate internal and external audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within the UAE market.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
- Sound knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, documentation, and compliance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with effective time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA (completed or currently pursuing) will be considered an advantage.
