Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our UAE team. This role is ideal for professionals with solid accounting experience in the UAE, who can manage day-to-day financial operations while ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee accounting processes, prepare accurate financial reports, and maintain robust financial controls, contributing to the company’s operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations and prepare VAT returns for submission to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
• Process employee payroll in accordance with UAE WPS requirements
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to maintain financial stability
• Coordinate with banks to handle financial transactions and banking operations
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing accurate documentation and support
• Implement and maintain strong financial controls and best practices
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 1–2 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory)
• Relevant industry experience in trading, contracting, retail, or hospitality is preferred
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and payroll compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Minimum 3 years of experience using QuickBooks
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Must currently reside in the UAE (Local hire only)
• NOC preferred if applicable
