Description:
We are currently hiring an experienced and reliable Accountant with proven UAE experience to join a growing retail organization based in Al Barsha 1, Dubai. This role is ideal for a detail-focused professional who can confidently manage daily accounting functions while supporting overall financial operations with accuracy and consistency.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial discipline, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and contributing to efficient cost control and reporting processes within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Oversee inventory accounting, COGS tracking, and supplier invoice verification
- Handle VAT calculations, filings, and compliance in line with UAE VAT regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Conduct monthly audits and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping
- Monitor company expenses and support cost control initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of accounting experience within the UAE, preferably in the retail sector
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing, and UAE VAT laws
- Proficiency in Zoho accounting software, POS systems, and MS Excel
- Excellent email communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and consistently meet deadlines
