Description:
Safeway Interior Design is currently hiring a detail-focused and reliable Accountant to strengthen its Finance & Accounts department. The role involves managing routine accounting operations, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while working closely with the Accounts Manager and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting and bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy
• Record and maintain journal entries, vouchers, ledgers, and complete books of accounts
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and manage fixed asset registers
• Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Support VAT filings and statutory compliance, including audit-related documentation
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather and verify financial information
• Maintain MIS reports, project cost summaries, and detailed expense records
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience working as an Accountant in the UAE (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance standards
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and proficiency in MS Excel
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and meet reporting timelines
