Description:
We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Accountant to join a growing organisation in the UAE. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, support month-end close activities, and ensure regulatory compliance—particularly with UAE VAT rules. This role suits someone who works independently, is highly organised, and has hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting operations including AP, AR, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and prepare supporting documentation.
- Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure timely posting of transactions.
- Support VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
- Prepare and review financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve them.
- Use accounting software effectively and leverage MS Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate with internal teams to meet reporting deadlines and support audits as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience within the UAE market.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Practical knowledge of accounting principles and daily accounting workflows.
- Prior exposure to the financial/broking industry is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
- Experience with VAT filing and compliance in the UAE.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently under deadlines.
