About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to join a leading diamond and jewellery trading firm in Dubai. This role involves overseeing daily financial operations, maintaining inventory accounting, and ensuring statutory and industry-specific compliance. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and perform reconciliations.
  • Oversee inventory accounting and conduct periodic stock verifications.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure VAT compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, internal and external audits, and month-end/year-end closings.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE tax regulations, the Kimberley Process, and relevant trade standards.
  • Prepare MIS reports and provide financial analysis and actionable insights for management.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the diamond or jewellery sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE tax rules, VAT, and compliance obligations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proven data-analysis capability.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills — non-negotiable.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Prior work experience in the Middle East (Dubai preferred) is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using ERP systems and inventory management modules.
  • Familiarity with UAE customs procedures and international trade logistics.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and team-leading abilities.
  • Energetic professional profile (preferred age range: 28–40).
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or partially qualified CA candidates will be given preference.
