Sentara Health is seeking a motivated Accountant Broker to join their team, specializing in the sale of Health Plan policies. This role does not involve General Ledger accounting but focuses on supporting clients in understanding and selecting health insurance plans. The ideal candidate should have prior healthcare experience and a strong understanding of health insurance products. While CPA certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sell Health Plan policies to individuals and organizations
• Act as a broker, guiding clients through insurance plan options
• Maintain knowledge of health insurance industry trends and regulations
• Support clients with questions regarding plan coverage, benefits, and enrollment
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth sales operations
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Previous experience in healthcare or health insurance highly preferred
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and remotely
