Description:
Petrogulf is currently looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance department in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for accounting professionals who have strong financial management skills and experience handling accounting operations within a fast-paced business environment.
The company is seeking candidates who can efficiently manage financial records, maintain compliance standards, and support daily accounting operations while contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounting records and manage general ledger entries
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities efficiently
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow
• Prepare monthly financial reports, statements, and accounting summaries
• Ensure all financial documentation is properly maintained and organized
• Monitor compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting procedures
• Support internal and external audit processes and coordinate with auditors when required
• Process invoices, supplier payments, settlements, and expense tracking
• Monitor operational expenses and assist with cost-control measures
• Assist management with financial reporting and budgeting activities
Candidate Requirements:
• 2 to 5 years of professional accounting experience required
• Previous UAE accounting experience will be considered an advantage
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations
• Experience using accounting software systems; Odoo ERP knowledge preferred
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
