Description:
A leading architectural consultancy in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, project accounting, and reconciliation activities. This opportunity is ideal for finance professionals with solid ERP system experience and a strong understanding of accounting processes within a consultancy or construction-related environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, monitoring project costs, supporting budgeting activities, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting regulations. Experience with Visual Dolphin ERP will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while supporting period-end closing activities.
• Handle client invoicing, payment tracking, collections, and supplier payments.
• Monitor project costs, fee income, and profitability reporting.
• Support cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure control.
• Assist with payroll processing, UAE tax compliance, and audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation within the ERP system.
• Implement internal financial controls and coordinate with project teams on financial matters.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial closing.
• Hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems is mandatory.
• Experience with Visual Dolphin ERP is a strong advantage.
• Previous experience in an architectural, engineering, construction, or professional consultancy environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Project accounting, client billing, and cost monitoring.
• UAE accounting standards, VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Microsoft Excel, financial reporting, and ERP accounting systems.
• ACCA, CPA, or CMA certification will be considered an advantage.
