Job Title: Accountant

Location: Mussafah, ICAD, Abu Dhabi

Job Summary:

Domus Flower is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Abu Dhabi branch. This role is open only to candidates with a strong background in FMCG, F&B, supermarket/hypermarket, and operations & logistics sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare receiving reports and cost factor calculations prior to shipment arrivals.
  • Compute landed costs and assist in setting selling prices with appropriate margins.
  • Compare supplier invoices with purchase orders and identify discrepancies.
  • Upload and manage incoming inventory data in the system.
  • Coordinate supplier claims with proper internal approvals.
  • Monitor payments and expenditures, including purchase orders and invoices.
  • Verify entries and reconcile system reports with financial records.
  • Schedule vendor payments and ensure timely processing of outstanding credits.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain clear communication on financial matters.
  • Reconcile accounts payable to ensure accurate posting of bills and payments.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and statements.
  • Provide support to the Abu Dhabi branch as needed based on operational requirements.
  • Assist at the cash counter in the absence of the cashier.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
