Description:
ALCHEMY is looking for an experienced Accountant (Construction / Contracting) to join their Abu Dhabi finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping accurate books, managing day-to-day accounting activities and monthly closes, and ensuring timely invoicing and collections for project work. You will work closely with operations and project teams to capture financial data correctly and keep reconciliations up to date.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounts.
- More than 5 years of hands-on experiencewithinJoinery / Fit-Out / Construction sectors.
- Proven experience with general ledger accountingand month-end / year-end close processes.
- Practical familiarity with accounting software packages.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries and perform monthly book closing.
- Prepare and issue client invoices and follow up to track collections and outstanding payments.
- Perform monthly reconciliationsforbank, debtors, creditors, intercompany, and GL accounts.
- Review bank transactions and prepare required documentation for bank submissions.
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary data for posting and updating the books of accounts.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes using accounting systems and reconciliations.
