Description:
Axalta is seeking a dedicated Account Specialist to support our Automotive Refinish customers in the Seattle area and surrounding regions, including periodic visits to Alaska. This role is focused on customer retention, not sales, and is home office-based with a requirement for local presence to allow on-site visits.
The Account Specialist will maintain strong customer relationships, ensure delivery on all business agreements, and contribute to long-term success for Axalta and its clients. This role requires high ownership, accountability, and a collaborative approach to meet regional and company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, building strong collaborative relationships.
- Understand business agreements and execute account plans covering product, color, and service needs.
- Communicate the value and benefits of Axalta products and services clearly.
- Engage appropriate resources to address customer needs effectively.
- Maintain organized communications with regular customer calls and detailed documentation in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Follow-up on customer issues promptly and suggest process improvements.
- Prioritize tasks to contribute to regional revenue, profitability, customer retention, and distributor management.
- Provide support on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure customers know about available training and local performance resources.
- Lead paint conversion efforts and coordinate distribution resources to support customers.
- Keep account information and contact data up-to-date in Salesforce (SFDC).
- Utilize technology tools (SharePoint, Salesforce, MS Office, etc.) to enhance productivity and communication.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3-5 years of experience in Automotive Refinish industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair, commercial transportation, industrial business, and distribution fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Axalta core products and repair shop business fundamentals.
- Ability to identify customer needs and resolve issues collaboratively and efficiently.
- Self-disciplined, able to work independently in unstructured conditions.
- Professional demeanor across all organizational levels.
- Strong team player, actively supporting territory activities and customer needs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willing to travel up to 50% locally and overnight as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
