Description:
Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc., a full-service national lender founded in 2000 and headquartered in San Diego, California, is seeking an Account Executive to join their team. The role involves soliciting new business, recommending new broker approvals, and maintaining relationships with existing wholesale broker clients. Plaza is committed to offering comprehensive programs and exceptional customer service to its mortgage broker and correspondent clients nationwide.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Add value to broker client base with thorough knowledge of Plaza’s products and underwriting guidelines, including Conventional, FHA, and VA loans
- Answer client inquiries and provide loan status updates during processing
- Provide training on company policies, procedures, and current regulatory requirements
- Maintain familiarity with applicable state licensing requirements
- Communicate and interact with accounts daily, including physical visits, virtual meetings, and phone calls
- Take applications from wholesale source clients for approval by Plaza
- Assist in developing marketing materials and distribute them to existing and prospective clients
- Conduct on-site inspections of client premises and gather necessary financials, resumes, licenses, and contract documents for senior management
- Maintain daily contact with clients to solicit new business and request loan lock-ins
- Monitor company’s computer-based register for prompt file cancellations and timely delivery of live files
- Provide training and conduct informational meetings for the client base
- Establish controls to track monthly rates, lock-ins, client contacts, and other required information
- Update lock-in files and purge cancellations and expired locks daily
- Update rate line information and distribute it to clients regularly
- Utilize the Engage system for marketing, scheduling, notes, and other functions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in loan origination with a strong client base preferred
- Solid understanding of wholesale loan origination, underwriting processes, and mortgage industry standards
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
- Professional demeanor to interact effectively with branch personnel, company staff, and brokers
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to produce accurate work consistently
- Commitment to customer service with excellent client relations skills
- Analytical aptitude with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet browsers
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean driving record required if driving on company business
