Following recent enterprise-level partnerships with major food manufacturers across the UK, Canada, and the United States, BlakBear is expanding its North American sales team and is looking for a driven Account Executive to help accelerate growth. This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-growing, mission-led company.
The Role:
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle for North American enterprise customers, including discovery, qualification, validation, proposal development, and deal closure
- Drive new logo acquisition as well as expansion opportunities within existing enterprise accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across complex customer organizations
- Apply strategic thinking to identify risks, gaps, leverage points, and new revenue opportunities in active deals
- Maintain accurate CRM records and align sales activities with the company’s defined sales process
- Execute outbound sales initiatives using HubSpot
- Collaborate closely with the product team to influence roadmap priorities based on customer value
- Represent BlakBear at trade shows and industry events to strengthen market presence
- Travel to customer sites across North America as required
- Work remotely within the United States, with preference for candidates based in Eastern or Central time zones
Required Skills & Experience:
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of B2B sales experience within the food industry, particularly with food manufacturers (meat, fish, poultry preferred)
- Proven experience selling software, equipment, ingredients, testing services, or IoT solutions
- Strong background in managing complex, value-based enterprise sales cycles
- Hunter mindset with experience introducing and selling new or emerging technologies
- Ability to thrive in an early-stage, high-growth startup environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both executive leadership and technical teams
- Highly organized, process-driven, and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Technically curious and able to quickly grasp scientific and product concepts
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and persistent in follow-ups to close deals successfully
