About the Role:
Smartsheet is seeking a motivated and proactive Account Executive to join our Commercial Sales Team. This role focuses on driving software sales and expanding Smartsheet’s presence within a designated territory. The ideal candidate will identify growth opportunities, manage accounts, and engage clients strategically across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quotas for software and services.
• Execute solution-based sales processes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and prospect new opportunities with existing customers by analyzing high-value needs.
• Leverage existing relationships to grow Smartsheet’s footprint and drive renewals.
• Expand brand awareness across c-suite, operational, and team levels.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success teams to support full sales cycle.
• Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic deals.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce using MEDDICC qualification guidelines.
• Use sales enablement tools to tailor approaches and identify opportunities to add value.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of SaaS sales experience in commercial accounts, consistently exceeding quotas.
• Strong experience managing B2B customer relationships.
• Comprehensive understanding of SaaS evaluation processes and full sales cycle execution.
• Experience collaborating across multiple departments and roles to manage customer lifecycle.
• Proficient in CRM and BI tools, such as Salesforce and Tableau.
• Passion for technology and new software solutions.
