Description:
Mission Lane is seeking an Account Coordinator, Collections to join our remote team. This role focuses on engaging with past-due cardholders, understanding their situations, and offering tailored repayment solutions to help customers achieve financial recovery. The ideal candidate combines empathy, negotiation skills, and technical proficiency to manage accounts efficiently while maintaining compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Professionally interact with customers regarding past-due payments over the phone.
- Utilize multiple software systems to manage accounts and document all interactions.
- Identify reasons for account delinquency and provide solutions with empathy and professionalism.
- Negotiate and problem-solve to secure mutually beneficial repayment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high-quality customer service throughout the collections process.
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a customer-focused, solutions-oriented role.
- Strong negotiation and influence skills with proven ability to overcome objections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and recommend solutions.
- Ability to manage challenging conversations and de-escalate situations.
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Growth mindset, open to feedback and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer debt resolution.
- Familiarity with contact center technologies (e.g., TCN, Zendesk).
- Proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, Tableau, and Slack.
- Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements (FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, BSA, SCRA, MLA, UDAAP).
Work Environment & Requirements
- Remote position with supportive virtual team culture using Slack and Google Meet.

- Schedule in Eastern Time (ET) with paid training for the first 3 weeks. Shift options available based on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting hourly pay: $17.25 – $19.20.
