Description:
OLAPLEX, a leader in prestige hair care, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive A/R Specialist to join their finance team. This remote role is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate processing of collections, credits, reconciliations, chargebacks, and improving overall AR processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, including customer outreach, adjustments, reconciliations, and monthly reporting
  • Reconcile AR accounts and ensure proper posting of all payments
  • Oversee dispute resolution and deduction tracking, including chargeback management and documentation
  • Apply customer payments efficiently using NetSuite, including analyzing short, over, and duplicate payments
  • Manage Lockbox process and prepare customer statements
  • Monitor AR Aging reports and engage professionally with customers on past-due balances
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to resolve billing disputes and ensure accurate chargeback coding
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end audits by providing supporting documentation
  • Contribute to the development of AR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce DSO
  • Manage shared AR and Credit Inbox
  • Exercise judgment in resolving complex AR issues and provide ad-hoc support to AR Manager and Finance team

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of accounts receivable experience within consumer products industry
  • Experience with major ERP systems; NetSuite preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Google Suite
  • Familiarity with enterprise messaging tools like Teams or Slack
  • Experience managing deductions and disputes for Amazon, Ulta, Sephora, or Sally
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, participate on video calls, and collaborate within a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced, changing environment
