Head of English Vacancy – Deira Private School is hiring a Head of English for the Academic Year 2023-24.

Candidates must have the following minimum qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in English from a recognized university.
- A Bachelor’s or Masters of education (all documents must be attested and verified).
- At least three years of experience as a teacher for primary and/secondary in British Curriculum School in Dubai. Experience as Head of Department in British curriculum schools in Dubai/UAE is highly preferred.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- Oversee the teaching and support of our English across the school, along with working closely with other team members for maximizing the outcomes of all students including from Inclusion, G and T, Emirati and ELL.
- Facilitate, monitor, ensure and report upon attainment progress of all students in internal and external examination and help the school to meet its goals and expectations in line with KHDA and school’s guidelines.
- Liaise with all stakeholders including parents, external providers, and other schools and internally to enable enriching English Provision.
- Take responsibility for departmental budget, staffing, training and development.
- Manage all needed documents to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- The successful candidate will be resilient with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- They will have experience of leading a team and effecting change in an educational setting and will have detailed knowledge of international best practices and UAE expectations.
