Hiring: Head of Emergency Department – Dubai, UAE

A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Head of Emergency Department to lead and manage emergency medical services, ensuring high-quality patient care, rapid response times, and compliance with DHA & JCI standards. This role involves overseeing emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff, optimizing emergency protocols, and implementing best practices in emergency medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & manage the Emergency Department (ED) with strategic and clinical oversight
  • Supervise emergency physicians, nurses & support staff to ensure optimal patient care
  • Oversee triage, diagnosis & treatment of emergency cases for rapid and effective care
  • Ensure compliance with DHA, JCI & international emergency care standards
  • Monitor patient safety, infection control & quality assurance programs
  • Implement evidence-based emergency protocols & continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives✔ Develop and oversee training programs, simulation drills & residency programs
  • Manage department budgets, staffing, and operational efficiency
  • Lead research & innovation in emergency medicine, AI-driven diagnostics & telemedicine solutions

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) – Required
  • Specialization in Emergency Medicine (Board Certification, Fellowship) – Required
  • DHA License or Eligibility – Required
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (ATLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) – Required
  • Certification in Healthcare Leadership or Medical Management – Preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Emergency Medicine, with 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Expertise in trauma management, critical care, resuscitation & crisis response
  • Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations & JCI accreditation standards
  • Exceptional leadership, crisis management & decision-making skills
