Description:

We are seeking a Head Nurse for our client, a leading hospital specializing in medical and surgical fields. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate unit activities, ensure quality patient care and safety, maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, initiate and manage departmental projects, and oversee the smooth operation and orientation of new staff.

Role: Head Nurse

Salary: AED 9000 TO AED 12,000

Location: Dubai

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain team performance with necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Manage ordering and stock control for consumables and drugs.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and document all incidents.
• Ensure effective communication within the department and keep staff informed of hospital changes.
• Follow Joint Commission on International Accreditation guidelines.
• Assist in daily nursing rounds with the Director of Nursing and Supervisors.
• Provide direct nursing care respecting patient privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Follow physician orders, ensure medication accuracy, and handle clinical emergencies.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic regimens and support their psychosocial needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Continuously evaluate and improve nursing care quality and update care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Practice within established standards and policies, assuming responsibility for professional development and maintaining confidentiality.
• Act as a patient advocate, develop supportive relationships, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience – preferably with a minimum of 2 years as Head Nurse or Senior Position.
• Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice Dubai, UAE.
