Hiring Head Chef required

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates for a Head Chef at Montauk Boutique Cafe. As the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the cafe’s kitchen operations. You’ll lead the kitchen team in menu planning, food preparation, and executing dishes. You’ll also ensure the kitchen is clean, appliances are functioning properly, and food safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• A diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a Head Chef or Sous Chef role with at least 5 years of experience in the culinary industry.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety protocols, culinary techniques, and procedures, and an ability to create and adapt menus for different dietary requirements.
• An understanding of various cuisines and an ability to plan and create dishes that cater to different tastes while incorporating local and seasonal ingredients.
• Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and organizational skills. A Head Chef must be able to articulate clear and concise instructions with team members while keeping track of inventory, budget, and scheduling.
• An ability to work collaboratively with the front-of-house team and make adjustments to the menu as needed based on customer feedback.
• Experience in a café/restaurant setting is preferred.
