Group Finance & Accounts Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who can subscribe to our vision, mission, and values to join our Finance team as part of the Innoventures Education group of schools.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director – Finance & Administration, the Group Finance & Accounts Manager is responsible for all facets of finance for the Group including budgeting, allocation, planning, book-keeping, and reporting and treasury.
The person will ensure compliance with IFRS & UAE Tax/VAT regulations, handle external audits, accounts payable & receivable, payroll disbursals, monthly closing of accounts and feasibility studies. Sound technical, operational, and analytical skills, and a proactive mindset will be key to deliver results.
Key responsibilities
- Sensitively manage parent relations with respect to their financial obligations to the school/nursery
- Timely financial reporting on monthly and annual basis for all units and the Group
- Formulate annual budgets, financial planning, conduct feasibilities, and treasury management
- Accurate book-keeping, VAT filings, consolidation of financials and annual audit
- Review monthly payroll and ensure timely disbursals
- Support commercial negotiations, review cost-benefit analysis and contracts
- Advice on financial matters, develop strategies, and collaborate with teams to implement projects
- Design and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Drive effective cost controls measures across all cost centres and maximize other income opportunities
- Manage relationships with internal customers and externally with banks, suppliers, and service providers
- Assess and manage risk including securing appropriate insurance cover
Professional qualifications and experience:
- Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CA/CPA)
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in managerial role handling accounting, consolidation, planning, budgeting, and reporting functions
- Excellent organization, communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong IT skills especially MS Office applications
