GWR Consulting is looking for a Food Safety Auditor that is based in UAE (preferably Dubai emirate) on a freelance basis (this is not a full time job).
We are looking for a person that can join our food safety team (on a freelance basis).
The Responsibilities of the freelance food safety auditor includes:
- Site inspection for restaurants’ kitchen (our account manager will be guiding you on a schedule when the audits are preferred to be done. It is mutually agreed and coordinated)
- Once an audit is done, you would need to prepare a report summarizing all the observations and non-conformity in relation to the food safety norms.
- The report will need to be filled on our system.
- Education: BSc. (or MS) in Food Sciences; and/or Food Technology; and/or Human Nutrition and Dietetics or any other relevant degree
- Preferably that you already have a Food Safety experience and/or Quality Controller and auditing experience.
- Training: BFST (Level 3 Food Safety is a plus)
- Languages: Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus
- Frequency of the audits: On average 5 audits per month (±).
- Normally the audits are done during the weekdays (If you have a full time job please keep in mind that you would need to find time during the weekday. Some audits are required to be done before 5.00 p.m.)
- Audit length: ~ 1h30 min for the site audit and ~ 1h to write the report at home
- Pay rate is per audit and report and can vary (this to be discussed during our first contact)
There are few important notes that we would like to communicate before you apply for the position:
- We would do a small assessment to understand at which level of Food Safety knowledge you are. The test is not more than 20 minutes.
- We will provide you with training (depending at which level and experience you are, the training period can vary between 1 to 4 weeks, it all depends on you and your ability and commitment.
- We will also provide you with the lab coat and any other tools that you would need in order to conduct the audit.
- We will not be able to recruit you if you are already working with another Food Safety or training company.
As the new world brings new requirements, we are looking for candidates that are fully vaccinated or expecting the 2nd dose. We are not allowed to do audits if auditors are not vaccinated.
