Job description

Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions

• Oversee the operations of the finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives
• preparing and interpreting reports, accounts, commentaries and financial statements
• managing the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
• providing and interpreting financial information
• developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
• researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
• Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
• Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
• Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
• Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
• Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings and Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management
• Bachelor’s degree In Finance or Accounting
• Professional Qualification will be preferred (CA, ACCA etc.)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Good understanding of basic and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Good Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards – IFRS
• Effective oral and written English skills.
• Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good Management and Leadership skills and ability to lead teams
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to plan and organize multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently
• Ease in communicating with colleagues and third parties via email
• Ability to work independently and ask for clarification where needed
• Ability to communicate and to work as part of a team
• Experience with Finance Software and ERP systems
