Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our client’s executive team. The Finance Manager will report directly to the CEO. The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in developing and overseeing the annual budgeting process, providing accurate financial forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring they comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, and provide accurate financial forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Implement and monitor financial controls to mitigate risks associated with commodity trading activities.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- •Ensure adherence to tax regulations and collaborate closely with external tax advisors to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Coordinate external audits to ensure their timely completion and compliance with all audit requirements.
Key Requirements
- Familiarity with commodities trading environment and an understanding of commodity hedging.
- Strong grasp of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experienced in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Capable of implementing robust financial controls.
- Demonstrated experience in managing cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
- Understanding of tax regulations and experience collaborating with external tax advisors.
- Essential Requirements:
- CPA, CMA, FCCA, ACCA, or CIMA certification is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 13-18 years of experience within finance and audit functions, including previous managerial roles.
- Proven track record as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably within a commodity trading environment, with specific exposure to metals.
