JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for development and execution of Learning and Development Programs that will improve employees’ skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.
Strategic Responsibilities
- To support in planning and delivering the Learning and Development strategies across the Organisation, that supports the business in achieving its objectives
- Develop annual training plan and calendar and ensure effective implementation
Functional Responsibilities
- Identify training and development needs within an organisation through training needs analysis, Annual appraisal and regular consultation with managers and Heads of Departments
- Plan and implement training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation and the individual
- Develop training materials for in-house courses, in consultation with line managers and senior managers to ensure relevance of the programme in the Organisational context
- Consider the costs of planned programmes and keep within budgets
- Develop and roll out effective training programmes and ensure key takeaways are clearly understood
- Support line managers in creating and implementing individual development plans
- Manage the delivery of training and development programmes, including administrative elements such as material printing, venue booking, training invitations, attendance, etc.
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through assessments, on the job observations and discussions with managers
- Carry out on the floor training audits to ensure training outcomes have been properly understood and implemented
- Evaluate training and development programmes, through training feedback forms and other mechanisms
- Amend and revise programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
- Be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning modules or blended learning, as required
- Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
- Liaise with managers to ensure learning is effectively cascaded across all the team members
People Development
- Develop innovative teams who can quickly adapt to as well as create new opportunities
- Coach and guide teams to perform to their optimal potential, produce highest standards of output
- Promote ongoing training and development and up skill key talent to larger roles.
Experience and Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience, with at least 2-3 years’ experience as a Trainer in a diversified Retail Group or a multinational company
- Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in the field of Human Resources
- Arabic speaking skills is an advantage
- Experience in Luxury Retail hiring experience in the UAE would be an advantage
