The Position
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Manager, Events to lead our strategic initiatives by managing a high-impact events program. This critical role is essential in enhancing brand visibility and driving organizational growth through a series of industry engagements and our hallmark annual thought leadership conference, The Leadership Innovation Exchange (LINE). Directly reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the Senior Manager, Events will work collaboratively across various teams, such as sales, marketing, and client engagement, ensuring successful execution and quantifiable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an annual events strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and emphasizes return on investment (ROI).
- Oversee the planning and execution of individual events, ensuring creativity, precision, and a high standard of quality.
- Coordinate integrated promotional activities across multiple channels in partnership with the marketing team to ensure alignment with overarching strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team on lead management strategies to optimize conversion rates.
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual targets for lead generation and pipeline growth.
- Communicate event plans and outcomes effectively to senior leadership and the broader organization.
Annual Thought Leadership Conference (LINE)
- Develop comprehensive project plans and manage all phases of the event from inception through execution.
- Engage with leadership, sales, marketing, and product teams to design the agenda, recruit speakers, and facilitate attendee engagement.
- Coordinate with speakers to ensure adequate preparation and communication leading up to the event.
- Oversee the ongoing development of LINE branding and the event’s digital presence.
Event Speaking Strategy
- Maintain a calendar for submission deadlines and proactively manage speaking proposals.
- Suggest session topics and speakers, leveraging internal and external expertise.
- Collaborate with event partners to identify and secure speaking opportunities.
Results Monitoring and Reporting
- Track progress against event-specific and overall program objectives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Provide regular and accurate performance reports to senior leadership.
Budget Management
- Oversee and track all event-related expenditures within the marketing budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 10 years in marketing, with at least 4 years focusing on event management.
- Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale organizational events, including thought leadership conferences and client summits.
- Prior experience in the healthcare sector is mandatory; experience within a health system is advantageous.
- Experience in startup environments is highly preferred.
