Job Description:

• The seconded personal shall be qualified and shall have minimum 2-year experience in carrying out the following job functions
• Reads and records consumption of BTU meters with mobile and hand-held reading devices and manual reads, verifies that readings are within parameters and troubleshoots problems related to meters and reading equipment.
• Troubleshooting and testing of new and existing meters including repairs and upgrades existing metering installations
• Field inspection of metering devices to comply with metering manufacture and company specifications
• Identify and rectify communication loop error.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics specifications and electrical symbols.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards that could compromise personal safety, Some knowledge of electrical repair practices, methods and troubleshooting. Exposure to hazards of confined spaces and new construction’s locations
• Deal with complaints in a tactful manner
• Installs, repairs, upgrades and/or inspects BTU meters, meter reading equipment, valves etc. and Commissioning / programming of utility meters upon installation.
• Responds to customer service requests, not limited to connections, disconnects, rereading meters, checking for leaks, etc. and may be required to respond to emergency callouts or assist the operation crews with system repairs.
• Maintains records of work performed and materials used.
• Meter services and operating procedures including identifying sources of high BTU energy use.
• Reading and interpreting manuals, specifications and troubleshooting metering equipment.
