Description
Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is looking for a Document Acquisition Specialist II, Data Normalization, to join our team. This role manages proprietary workflow queues containing construction documents, requiring expertise in data sources and advanced project management skills to ensure comprehensive coverage of construction documents. Their primary responsibility is to meticulously review and triage essential data and publish documents into the Dodge Data Platform.
This is a full-time position and reports directly to the Manager, Plans & Specs.
Preferred Location
This is a remote, home-office role and candidates located in the continental United States will be considered.
Travel Requirements
Expected travel is 5% for this role.
Essential Functions
- Monitor multiple proprietary workflow queues for prompts on which documents to pursue
- Operate in a designated territory
- Develop industry relationships and gain expertise in the territory’s specific data sources
- Research, collect, verify, and maintain construction documents on public projects through various means, including phone calls, emails, and digital research with guidance from manager
- Conduct any needed complex document file type conversion which may require single use or stand-alone conversion applications
- Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive document collection for all assigned projects and submit these plans and specifications for ingestion into the Dodge Database
- Analyze documents for accuracy, timeliness, quality, and completeness
- Confirm eligibility of documents for collection based on project metadata
- Determine, then proceed, with email or voice contact based on source preference, prior contact attempts, and proximity to bidding
- Navigate more complex websites for document collection
- As required, complete Check Request Form or use corporate credit card to pay for plan procurement
- Maximize project coverage by collecting documents on as many active projects as possible within the assigned regions, based on workflow prompts
- Complete formal documentation required to support data collection processes
- Maintain accountability for performance metrics, ensuring accurate, punctual, and thorough data collection
- Address basic customer requests from Customer Care
- Work closely with offshore teams, including acting as escalation point as required
Education Requirement
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Experience, Knowledge And Skills
- 1.5 + years of experience in the construction industry or equivalent customer service experience
- 1.5 + years of outbound call experience
- Prior online research experience
- Proven success meeting prior performance metrics or demonstrable ability to meet performance metrics in a fast-paced role in a production driven environment
- Proficiency in desktop software programs including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe or similar tools
- Ability to learn proprietary software applications within a reasonable time frame
- Exceptional attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and reading comprehension skills
- Ability to work effectively in an independent, remote environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced role/production driven environment
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust through persuasive communication, fostering strong client relationships and effective team collaboration
Preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Prior experience with Google Sheets
- Familiarity with industry standard file types such as pdf, jpeg, tif, dwg, dgn, etc.
- Previous experience collaborating with offshore teams

Salary Disclosure
Salary range: $18.51-$23.08
This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job-related factors. Dodge Construction Network’s compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, uncapped commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
