Position Summary: The Data Processing Specialist is responsible for retrieving, analyzing, and processing client data used across various TPI products. This role involves data manipulation, formatting, and processing to meet client specifications while ensuring quality and efficiency. This role will collaborate with internal teams, including management and project managers, to ensure a seamless workflow and on-time project completion.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to prepare, process, and manipulate mailing lists and customer data for direct mail campaigns
  • Optimize and troubleshoot data workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain data integrity and quality control procedures to ensure precise output.
  • Ensure compliance with USPS mailing regulations, including CASS certification, NCOA processing, and presort requirements. .
  • Implement automation techniques to streamline data preparation.
  • Communicate with internal team members to clarify job specifications, mailing requirements, etc.
  • Assist in developing and refining best practices for data management and workflow automation.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, formatting errors, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Maintain high-quality standards through rigorous data verification and testing.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting software and system-related issues affecting production
  • Follow departmental operating procedures, safety, security, and quality guidelines, while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal communication skills for meetings
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
  • Proficient in Excel and Database knowledge (ie: SQL or Access).
  • Advanced knowledge of various data formats (ie: CSV, flat file, etc).
  • Knowledge and use of direct mail processing programs and variable data print software.
  • Knowledge of USPS rules and regulations.
  • Able to learn new programs quickly.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Education And Experience

  • 2+ years of work experience preferably using mail processing / data processing software in a production environment.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in direct mail or related industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of RedPoint data management software or similar variable data processing a plus.

Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for extended periods. Some standing and walking are required. Continuous vision required for detailed work. Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement for data entry.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but the schedule varies and requires flexibility to work as needed in the evenings and weekends. Typically, 40-50 hours per week. This position is a production position and will require work daily on multiple incoming projects. It is not a supervisory or creative position and will require overtime from time to time to meet production expectations including some evening and weekend work if necessary.

The pay range for this position is $24-$30 per hour. Compensation is dependent on experience and industry knowledge.
