GP PRO (Georgia-Pacific Professional) is looking for a Customer Development Leader (CDL) to drive sales execution and distributor growth with Sysco in the Western / Central markets.

This position is Home-based/Remote in the Western / Central USA (preference for Candidates who reside west of the Mississippi) and reports to the Senior Customer Development Director, Sysco.

What You Will Do

New business development and growth of GP / Sysco brands

  • Cultivate leads & utilize VSC / Field Sales resources to strategically grow accounts at Sysco’s Regional and OpSite level
  • Collaborate with VSC and Market Sales Directors (MSDs) on sales opportunities and new business initiatives to drive growth

Key GP contact, Trainer, Advocate, Influencer

  • Develop preferred partnership relationships and wired into key Sysco constituents
  • Make sure all Sysco regions are well trained on GP value proposition; prioritize high gain Regions / OpSites
  • Inspire and motivate Sysco to sell GP branded A+ products
  • Serve as SME for all GP products, processes and policies and solve problems and develop opportunities
  • Participation of high gain activities at OpSites – food shows, GSM’s, huddles, new hire trainings, etc

Contributing member of Team Sysco

  • Inform of market intelligence and implications and share knowledge with Team and Categories to inform strategies
  • Contribute to the development of the Sysco team sales strategy
  • Assist in development of team members
  • Administrative support as needed – ROS, deductions, etc

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in sales, customer service, or business development role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Valid U.S. driver license
  • Willing to travel 30%
