Hiring Custom Clearing Agent

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position will be primarily responsible for executing daily Customs clearing of import and export
• Operations, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any issues impacting the Process.
• Preference will be given to candidate with work experience within Customs clearing agency and
• Freight Forwarding Industry with good knowledge of Dubai and Abu Dhabi Customs.
• Receiving export papers (invoice, customs certificate, transit certificate) from customers, customer service department, or land transport department.
• Coordination of all air, ocean, Land international and local trucking, customs clearance, Export/Import/Cross Trade shipment – (FCL/LCL/Break Bulk/Roro shipments)
• Shipment from Dubai & Abu Dhabi airport and seaport.
• Knows how to handle import of ALL product types including DANGEROUS GOODs.
• Processing all customs clearance shipments and available for cargo inspection.
• Handling all government office activities with Customs, chamber of commerce, etc.
• Making export/reissue data according to customer request.
• Preparing, and printing the papers required for customs inspection as and when required.
• Handing over the inspection documents to inspection department for verification, schedule inspection and pay the fees.
• Follow up with customs to complete the inspection and collect the sealed customs certificate.
• Presenting the customs certificates to Port and/or point of exit to be stamped with a confirmation seal for loading onto the ship.
• Submit certificates to Customs for final stamping. & Update data in the company’s system.
• Perform Import / Export – Customs / VAT Inspection Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and other Emirates in UAE
• Good data management skills (IT, Metrics, KPI driven) with customs brokerage operational

Abilities and skills request:

• At least 3 years of working experience in logistics freight forwarding in UAE
• Experience (office) along with invoicing skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Dubai Trade & Customs and knowledge on how to use E-Mirsal
• Services with Dubai/Abu Dhabi Trade
• Auditing and verifying all export/ import documents for VAT compliance purposes
• Coordination of all air, ocean, international and local trucking, customs clearance import, export.
