Hiring Custom Clearance and Forwarding Specialist

Job Description:

  • Conducting smooth operations of Import, Export, Transit Clearance and assist the project team.
  • Any Graduate degree or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as per requirement of the operations department.
  • Maintain registers and reports for Import, Export, Transit clearance Operations.
  • Handle Corporate Clients and Accounts.
  • Process Bill of Entry for customs documentation on E-Mirsal 2 in Dubai Trade web portal.
  • Customs clearance of ship spares arriving in Cargo Village.
  • Submission of Customs Exit Documents after completion of spare delivery to the authority.
  • Liaise with Various Airlines, DNATA, Dubai, Jebel Ali, Sharjah Customs & Port Authorities.
  • Liaise with carriers and shipping agents as per the requirements.
  • Coordinate with messengers for documents delivery and collection.
  • Facilitate shipment status updates to customers through Monitoring Movements from Origin to Destination.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Ship spare clearance, Export/Import Trade Documentation requirements, Inco Terms etc.
  • 2 years of experience in customs clearance of ship spares in Dubai, Jebel Ali and Sharjah Seaports
  • Fluency in English with excellent e-mail drafting skills.
  • Team player
  • Flexible to work round the clock / after office hours to meet the operational assignments.
  • Flexible to work under different time zones to communicate with client / vendors during port visits.
  • Ability to physically attend vessels and manage the operations in different ports for government related contracts.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and timely with customer, vendors, and departments.
  • Identify opportunities that contribute to cost reduction and minimizes expenses without compromising on quality of service. It is important that cost savings are recorded and brought to attention of the management.
  • Maintain the vendor database always updated in line with company policy and due diligence be conducted while selecting a new vendor. Assessment of vendors to ensure the quality of service.
  • Validate all delivery note and final invoices from vendors to process the same for payment and all short falls be reported to line manager. All validated delivery note along with final invoices should be sent to finance team.
  • Knowledge of logistics and shipping.
  • Well-versed with online customs documentation/clearances through E-MIRSAL.
  • Knowledge of Free zone, Dubai Port Customs regulation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel.
