Credit Controller
Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, has an immediate need for a Credit Controller representative who will manage the portfolio of customer accounts across MEA region. This position will report to the Regional Credit Manager, to support the business operations and organization to drive cash performance.
Work closely with sales team to meet past due and DSO targets.
Manage regular follow up with customers.
Manage Order releases and collection.
Manage the credit and collection activities, of a portfolio of customer accounts to enhance cash flow, minimize credit risk exposure and limit bad debts losses.
Follow EMEA guidelines on assessing customer risk and risk mitigation of own portfolio of accounts.
Apply policy & procedures for collections, credit hold and credit risk in order to meet cash targets.
Proactively manage debt collection, on assigned Portfolio of accounts.
Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO and to have minimal bad debt.
Ensure individual goals on past due improvement are achieved.
Negotiating re-payment plans.
Monitor & escalate defined uncollectable accounts.
Perform customer risk assessments with appropriate policies to limit the dollar value of risk exposure with specific customers.
Liaising with customers, as well as internal personnel including the sales team.
Proactively identify accounts that pose a credit risk.
Preparing Credit related dashboard reports, on a Monthly/ Periodical basis (eg. Aged Debtor reports, DSO results at Cost Center/ District/ Regional level).
Support internal and external audits, as required.
Support the Accounting team as required.
Travel across MEA region as required.
University degree in finance, accounting or other business-related fields.
3-5 years of business experience, in collections.
2 years of experience in finance or accounting or managing external customer relationship.
Strong verbal and written communication in English. Arabic & French speaking is a plus.
High level proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge in working with database applications and ERP systems e.g. SAP, Scala, SYSPRO.
Proven record of meeting deadlines.
Accurate, efficient and organized with the ability to priorities tasks as needed.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Ability to ask probing questions to obtain necessary information.
