We are currently hiring for the position of Construction Cost Estimator – Civil

Construction Cost Estimator – Civil

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 13,000

Experience: Minimum 5 years of Estimator experience in the Infrastructure and Building Construction industry in UAE

Nationality: Any

Visa: Will be provided

Job Role:

• Prepare bills of quantities by coordinating with all related parties (Design, Procurement, and Finance).
• Assist in costing, pricing, and analysis of direct and indirect costs for the BOQ items.
• Scrutinize and review tender drawings/documents for discrepancies and additional BOQ items/scope.
• Analyze and compare quotations received at bid stage.
• Visit and analyze construction sites.
• Develop estimates for project planning and organization.
• Determine total costs for raw materials, equipment, and utilities.
• Identify time constraints in the projects.
• Manage bid submission and prequalification.
• Determine the required sub-contractors and their costs for the project.
• Utilize cost estimate software (Candy) for computing costs (Mandatory).
• Understand and analyze construction documents, project guidelines, and seek clarifications when needed.
• Contact contractors and vendors to obtain competitive prices.
• Manage risks and prepare plans that may affect cost constraints.
• Prepare reports and present them to the tender department manager.
• Keep clients and stakeholders well informed.
• Collaborate with team members.
• Maintain strong relationships with contractors.
• Stay updated with the latest industrial practices and trends.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience working for an infrastructure and building construction company as a Senior Estimator, Estimator, or similar role.
• Professional Estimator Certification is mandatory.
• Proficiency in cost estimate software (Candy) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of various construction practices.
