We have the requirement of Control Room Engineer (only for UAE Nationals) in Abu Dhabi. Qualified and experienced candidates only

Purpose of the job:

The Control Room Engineer role is part of critical position responsible for operation of the power and water plant from the control room to ensure the plant safely meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency and generation targets within strict environmental limits.

Scope of the job:

• The Control Room Engineer is responsible to operate the power and water plant and making accurate and timely decisions on matters affecting plant processes and performance and consulting with the Shift Manager when necessary.
• The role requires practical experience of the technologies associated to operating a modern Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant, Desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.
• In addition to possessing a detailed understanding of Company safety rules and practical application of such in the field. Leading to authorization to perform the role of a Designated Person/Issuer/Safety controller and understand the role of all staff involved in application of the rules. I.e. Safety Controller, Safety Coordinator (where applicable), Designated Person and the Acceptor.

Knowledge and skills:

• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Health, Safety and Environment Management procedures
• Strong understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems and safety rules
• Ability to operate the wide range of plant from the Control Room as well as being able to analyze complex problems
• Ability to demonstrate understanding and application of Operating Instructions and Procedures relating to the duties of a Control Room Engineer
• Demonstrate a practical understanding associated to the operating principle of Gas Turbine, Steam turbine, HRSG, Desalination and a wide range of auxiliary plant.

Requirements:

• Having knowledge and exposure of modern process operations.
• At least three years’ experience working as a Control Room Engineer or similar in a CCGT Power & Water Plant.
• Commissioning and start up experience would be an advantage.
• A recognized engineering related diploma or equivalent
