Job Details

We are seeking a Collection Specialist to join our team. The Collection Specialist will be responsible for contacting patients in an attempt to collect outstanding balances, processing adjustments, and establishing payment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Contact patients for payments on outstanding balances
  • Process account adjustments as appropriate
  • Post patient payments
  • Manage and promote autopayment plans
  • Establish payment plans for past due accounts
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls efficiently and professionally
  • Ensure that any patient questions or concerns are routed to the proper department
  • Investigate and resolve any patient issues
  • Follow up with patients as appropriate
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Other duties as assigne

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years’ experience in collections or customer service preferred
  • Prior experience in receivable accounts, medical billing, or healthcare administration is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong time management skills.
