About The Role

Guidant Financial is looking for a Client Relations Specialist to join the Bookkeeping and Tax Services department. This fully remote position will be responsible for managing client communications, department workflows, and processing various tasks. With moderate autonomy, you will support clients by addressing their questions and concerns, guiding them through product changes, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. You will help small business owners navigate their bookkeeping and tax needs while maintaining strong relationships and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client communication, addressing technical accounting, product, pricing, and process questions.
  • Manage and prevent client escalations, utilizing customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Guide clients through product changes, including upgrades or downgrades in service offerings.
  • Prepare and explain add-on billing charges and process client terminations.
  • Deliver high-quality bookkeeping and tax services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Understand client business models to support with product recommendations, processes, and client relations.
  • Advise on client communication best practices and contribute to team projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a multi-client environment.
  • At least 3 years of client servicing experience handling tasks of various complexity for small business owners.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO); certification is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of small business accounting and tax services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently in a remote work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and prioritization skills.
