Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to oversee our accounting department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS and local regulations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure the company’s financial stability.
• Correspond with Banks with for TR,LC and other banking facilities.

Compliance & Audits:

• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, VAT laws, and other relevant statutory requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare detailed financial reports and present them to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Support decision-making by providing financial insights, forecasts, and analysis on various business initiatives.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing training and development opportunities.
• Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment within the finance department.

Strategic Planning:

• Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
• Support the Finance Director/CFO in strategic planning and financial forecasting.
• Participate in financial planning meetings and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives and business growth.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or senior role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and other relevant financial regulations.

Experience in the UAE market, particularly in the real estate, construction, or related industries
