The Opportunity
- Reconcile and post various types of exception-based payments.
- Balance daily transactions against various bank accounts and billing systems.
- Download ACH deposits and validate against bank statements.
- Balance paper check deposits against bank statements.
- Identify, record, and correct and/or reallocate patient or bank account errors.
- Monthly bank reconciliation against bank statement and billing system.
- Create and analyze various reports.
- Process credit card and cash payments.
- Process Activity Codes based on department guidelines.
- Convert VCC (virtual credit card) to electronic deposit and electronic remittance.
- Contact insurance carriers, banks, or other internal/external vendors via phone, email, intranet or written correspondence to obtain documentation.
- Process incoming W9, unclaimed property and affidavits.
- Collaborate with the corporate office to ensure timely reconciliation.
- Identify trends and communicate to manager or leadership team.
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Required Experience And Competencies
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years in Accounting, Banking, or related working experience required.
- Experience handling debits and credits (reconciliation processes) required.
- Proficiency with MS Excel required.
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Banking, or related field preferred.
- Clear understanding of debits and credits.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective customer service skills with internal and external customers.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply and calculate percentages.
- Ability to follow department and compliance guidelines.
- Flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
- Ability to make phone calls seeking account resolution.
- Ability to work within Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Perform 10-key by touch.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overtime during peak periods.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $18.51 – $22.68/hr, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
