Job Overview
The Billing Analyst will play a key role in managing billing operations for Coretelligent, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in invoicing clients for managed IT services, solutions, and projects. This position requires an analytical, detail-oriented individual who can collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure smooth and accurate billing practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of billing processes and enjoy working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Generation & Processing:
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for managed services, projects, and other billing activities in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper billing for clients based on their contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and specific project agreements.
- Review and verify all billing data for accuracy before submission to clients.
Accounts Reconciliation & Payment Tracking:
- Reconcile client accounts, ensuring all charges are accurate and all services rendered are accounted for.
- Work with clients to resolve billing disputes or discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
Billing Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze billing data for accuracy, trends, and opportunities to streamline processes or improve billing accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports, highlighting key financial insights and potential issues.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with the Client Services and IT support teams to ensure billing is aligned with service delivery and project milestones.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and clients regarding billing inquiries and issues.
- Provide timely updates on billing status and any issues requiring escalation.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvements within the billing cycle, implementing best practices to reduce errors and increase operational efficiency.
- Assist in implementing new tools or systems that enhance the billing and invoicing process.
- Ensure compliance with Coretelligent’s billing policies and any industry-specific regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of billing activities, including detailed documentation of adjustments or discrepancies
Ad Hoc Duties:
- Assist with periodic audits and reporting requirements as needed.
- Participate in special billing-related projects or initiatives to improve financial reporting or client experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or financial analysis, preferably in the IT services or technology industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, and advanced functions) and experience with billing software or financial systems.
- Familiarity with billing platforms (e.g., Intact, Salesforce, Zuora) is preferred.
- Knowledge of cloud-based services, managed IT services, or project-based billing models is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify root causes and suggest solutions for billing issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a managed IT services or technology consulting environment.
- Certification in accounting or billing (e.g., A/P or A/R certification) is a plus.
- Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience): $60,000- $70,000
This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations (with the exception of MA, NY, and CA). Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training.
