Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join our team. The Barista is responsible for creating exceptional coffee and espresso beverages while providing top-notch customer service. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages, following established recipes and standards.
• Grind coffee beans and adjust grind settings as needed for each beverage.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee makers, and other equipment with precision and consistency.
• Steam and froth milk to create creamy and visually appealing foam for lattes and cappuccinos.
• Ensure the quality and freshness of coffee beans and other ingredients.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the coffee station and equipment.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking and preparing their orders accurately and efficiently.
• Educate customers about different coffee varieties, brewing methods, and specialty offerings.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register as needed.
• Stock and replenish coffee supplies and merchandise, including pastries and snacks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth coffee shop operations.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and equipment handling.
• Maintain an inventory of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, and report shortages as necessary.
• Keep up-to-date with coffee industry trends and participate in training and workshops to enhance barista skills.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and latte art.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality coffee beverages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift bags of coffee beans or supplies.
• Food handler’s certification or other relevant certifications may be required.
