Exciting Opportunity in the Dubai, UAE – Associate Director (Intelligent Transport Systems)

A renowned consultancy company is seeking a seasoned professional to join their Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Consultancy business in the UAE. This is a niche leadership role for individuals with the technical expertise and entrepreneurial mindset to drive growth and innovation in the ITS domain.

Position: Associate Director (Reporting to the Business Unit Director)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 40-50k per month

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Generate leads and pursue opportunities across UAE & KSA.
  • Build and leverage networks to form strategic partnerships.
  • Drive the proposal process, including strategy, bid preparation, and final approval.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage ongoing and future ITS projects.
  • Ensure quality, risk, and stakeholder management across deliverables.
  • Oversee contract scope, schedules, and deadlines.

Team Management:

  • Allocate resources and prioritize project activities.
  • Drive team building and align with corporate culture.
  • Plan for new hires and train team members technically.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil or Electronics & Communications).
  • Master’s Degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in ITS design, master plans, parking systems, traffic control centers, and technology advisory.
  • Familiarity with UAE authorities (ITC approval preferred) or equivalent experience with relevant bodies globally.

Technical Expertise (Preferred):

  • Extensive experience in ITS design, pre-design, and deployment of technologies such as CCTV, VMS, Traffic Control Systems, and Parking Management Systems.
  • Hands-on involvement in ITS policies, manuals, feasibility studies, design stages, and tendering processes.
  • Knowledge of alternative mobility solutions (EV, SDT) and multi-modal platforms.
