We are looking for an Architect.
Job Summary
Reporting to the General Manager, the Architect is responsible for the architectural and interior design of various projects: villas, hospitality, residential, commercial, healthcare, sustainability activities, and supervision of the concerned employees, etc.
The work will entail taking requirements, providing an initial 2D design (various options), providing a 3D design and visualization of the project, choosing an option by the client, modifying the option until the client is satisfied (2D and 3D) and final approval from the client.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a project from concept development stage to tender stage;
- Architectural design – providing clients with architectural design options and completing all design work until it is ready for Municipal and other approvals. This includes 2D and 3D designs and interior design;
- Architectural design reviews – reviewing architectural work provided by draftsmen and engineers prior to presenting to clients. This also includes the review and stamping of healthcare facilities;
- Full coordination with sub-consultant and supplier;
- Prepare Estidama audit and design reports;
- Site visits for approved architectural and Estidama projects;
- Meet with clients, provide advice, review designs, and translate client requirements into architectural ones;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned;
Qualifications
- A recognized degree in Architecture (UAE Equivalency – preferable);
- Minimum 4 years of relevant architectural experience in Abu- Dhabi consulting company;
- Experienced in Municipal e-Permitting System (MePS);
- Good knowledge of architectural details, working drawings, and construction practices;
- Experienced in preparation of drawings for construction and submission to local authorities;
- Experience in architectural design, 2D and 3D;
- Knowledge of architectural software, AutoCAD, Lumion, SketchUp;
- Knowledge of Revit;
- Knowledge of Arabic is a must.
