Job Overview
As an Administrative Data Entry professional at Cardiology Associates of Altoona, you will be responsible for entering, managing, and maintaining critical administrative and patient data. Your role will support the smooth operation of our office, ensuring that patient records, billing information, and administrative tasks are handled efficiently and accurately. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be essential to the accuracy of our data and the overall efficiency of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter patient information, appointment details, and billing data into electronic systems accurately and promptly.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring all information is current and complete.
- Review and verify data for accuracy and consistency, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, medical records, and documents for physicians, staff, and patients.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, scheduling, and handling communications as necessary.
- Manage patient intake forms, insurance documents, and other administrative paperwork.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to resolve any data-related issues or questions.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for insurance purposes, billing, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Respond to inquiries from patients and staff regarding data updates or discrepancies.
- Perform routine data audits to maintain the accuracy and integrity of patient records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, data entry, or a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems (experience with Epic or similar is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare administration is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA privacy standards.
