Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Birmingham, Alabama. The successful candidate will join our team and will be focused on providing high-level customer service in the industry. As the Accounts Receivable Specialist you will play an instrumental role in managing both internal and external customer interactions. This Accounts Receivable Specialist position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring one day of on-site work at the Birmingham office.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to both email and phone inquiries from customers regarding payments and billing.
  • Process customer payments over the phone as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all customer interactions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for basic data management and Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
  • Adapt to the remote work environment and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct bank and cash reconciliations as part of the Accounts Receivable (AR) process.
  • Provide support to internal teams as well as external customers

Requirements

  • Proficient in Accounts Receivable (AR) operations with a solid understanding of financial processes and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Skilled in Email Correspondence with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly with clients
  • Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on delivering superior support and maintaining client relationships
  • Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Cash Reconciliations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues efficiently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
  • Ability to adapt to new software and technologies quickly.
