Position Details
Tilson is looking for a motivated Accounts Receivable (“AR”) Specialist to support the AR team with tasks related to creating, monitoring, and collecting company-wide receivables. This position will focus heavily on reporting, invoice review, data entry and analysis.
General Responsibilities
- Own the process of reviewing and posting all AR invoices in Tilson’s ERP.
- Extract status and payment dates from customer portals.
- Manage the voids and adjustments of invoices, in collaboration with internal support and operations teams, to ensure invoicing records reflect complete and accurate values and dates.
- Assist in collection efforts that include conducting customer outreach to secure processing updates, approval statuses, and estimated payment dates and recording notes on outreach and status for company-wide view.
- Participate in weekly internal meetings to review invoice rejections, cash on account pending application, invoicing discrepancies, and overdue invoices requiring escalation escalation.
- Create, maintain and update customer files, including customer name, address, accounts payable point of contact, and payment terms.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Responsibilities may vary as the company continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude and a “customer service” touch.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
- Resourcefulness; self-starter who is comfortable completing tasks with a high level of autonomy.
- Proven time and task management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects at time.
- Industry experience in construction, engineering or technology is a plus.
- Knowledge of Vista/Viewpoint software is a plus.
