Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist position will be the primary contact point of the AR department. This position will be responsible for communicating with Members to collect all past due balances as well as working with the internal team to negotiate any payment arrangements. The position will also need to maintain the various data touch points including the CRM, Accounting, and other related software to ensure accuracy and consistent financial reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Contributing to decisions that delegate member payments and extensions.
- Preparing documents and balances owed to send members to collections agency.
- Operating and contributing to AR meetings independently and relaying appropriate information gathered to Accounts Receivable manager.
- Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payment and transactions related to accounts receivable import process.
- Addressing and correcting discrepancies in Accounting software related to billing and collections.
- Making appropriate adjustments to all entries in billing software related to the customer billing process.
- Providing prompt, accurate and professional solutions to all accounting member tickets in HTM’s customer service system.
- Manage any daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements to provide needed reporting to the various internal Teams.
- Handle all EOM processes, review, reporting and assist AR manager with EOM tasks.
- Maintains and updates customer files in accounting software, CRM and proprietary Dashboard system, as necessary.
- Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
- Prepare reconciliations as needed.
- Performs other responsibilities related to receivables or accounting as needed.

- Prior collections experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with fellow employees & customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three to five years of related work experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position 40 hours/week
Travel may be required quarterly to the HTM Live Quarterly Meetings for AR tasks and assist Operations Team as necessary
