What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Conduct accurate and timely follow-up on unpaid and underpaid claims, including correcting and reprocessing as necessary
  • Research claim denials to determine reasons and initiate appeals when needed
  • Identify root causes of denial trends and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss denial trends and suggest workflow improvements
  • Meet established productivity and quality metrics, collaborating with supervisors to enhance performance

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and various insurance requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
