What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Accurately and timely follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims, working with payers to resolve issues
- Identify root causes of denials and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences
- Perform write-offs for uncollectible accounts in accordance with company policies
- Participate in team meetings to share denial trends and suggest process improvements
- Meet established productivity and quality metrics while collaborating with supervisors for performance enhancement
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
- Knowledge of healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance reimbursement guidelines
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
